Our team lives to build dream homes.
Every member of our team is a direct employee – we don’t use any third-party contractors – so they’re heavily invested in the success of Superior Framing and in doing high quality framing. Our entire crew operates like one large family – hard, honest workers who are proud of every family home they build..
Over the years, Superior Framing has grown to include multiple crews, each led by a highly experienced foreman and staffed by hand-picked carpenters. Each crew specializes in elaborate, custom-designed homes. All-in-all, we’ve framed approximately 2,500 homes and buildings since 1996
Our 4-person crews are made up of: 1 Foreman, 1 Second Man and 2 General Carpenters – plus, Superior Framing owns and operates forklifts on every job site. We have crews located in all areas of the metro, and we do our best to accommodate new hires and place them on crews close to home.
Tim Bruner, Owner
Tim Bruner started Superior Framing in 2008, with the goal of building large custom homes for families across the Twin Cities metro.
Starting in construction with his brother-in-law in 1989, Tim has worked in the industry his entire life. Having worked as a contractor and subcontractor, he knows how important fair treatment is for clients and employees of framing companies. Tim started his first framing company in 1996, and branched Superior Framing off later.
What We Do
Superior Framing specializes in framing large custom homes across the Twin Cities metro area. Ranging from 5,000-11,000 square feet, our 4-person crews have framed approximately 2,500 homes since 1996.
When Superior Framing is hired to deliver, that’s exactly what we do. We hit deadlines and exceed expectations, providing high-quality craftsmanship on every framing project – that’s why our homebuilding partners continue to work with us over and over again.

Philosophy
Employment
At Superior Framing, we’re always hiring the best. Whether you have decades of experience or a day, we’re taking carpenters with the aptitude to become the best framers in the Twin Cities metro area. Our team members are meticulously trained on how to frame out large, custom homes so that we can be the best in the business.
We respect our military service members. Tim was a member of the Minnesota National Guard for 10 years, and encourages active duty and retired military personnel along with National Guard reservists to apply.

Safety
We supply all of our employees with the proper equipment and training to be safe on the job. All employees are trained and then licensed to operate forklifts by the state of Minnesota. We follow all OSHA guidelines, including providing all of the correct safety devices and equipment like fall protection, fire extinguishers and more. We also host bi-weekly safety meetings on different topics.
